Our Baby Unit caters for Children aged from
4 months - 18 months.

What's on offer in our Baby Unit.

Key Worker
A key worker is assigned to each infant when they start in the Baby Unit. One member of staff will be responsible for the daily care of your infant. Your child's daily routine will be recorded and sent home in our Daily record book. This includes information so that you have record of what your baby has done each day, from records of sleep, changes and feeds to daily activities and milestones achieved are all recorded.

Baby Room
We have designed the baby unit to get the most developmentally for your children. We have a nappy changing facility, a sleep room and milk kitchen along with our comfortable main room which allows for endless developmental opportunities and bonding with staff members.

Meals
Each Infant has different requirements in this Unit. For our bottle fed babies, bottles are supplied by parents. For our weaning babies, initially food is supplied by parents, at an agreed stage the infant can have the liquidised food supplied by the Nursery.

Activities
The development of each infant is differing in stages; care is taken by each key worker to ensure that your child is getting the correct developmental opportunities at their stage. Development includes encouraging small and large muscle movement, communication skills through language development and songs, sensorial development through touch and feel. For older wobblers - painting, play dough, water activities and other play opportunities are available.

Outdoor Play is encouraged if the weather is appropriate - we like to wrap up and go out and get the fresh air as often as possible, so we get out for walks with the babies on a daily basis where possible, there is also a designated garden area off the baby unit to allow our babies outdoor space when walks are not possible.

Sleep Room
Each infant will have their own designated cot and linen - the sleep pattern is determined by the parent and this routine will be followed as much as possible by your key worker.
